UA Mining Alumni Will Werner and Matt Bradford present "Implementation of Systems Towards Restarting the Newgold Mesquite Mine Imperial County, California from 2008 to Present"

Beginning a mine is a long and meticulous process.  Restarting a mine can be a little different.   When all the permits are in hand and the lead times elapse quickly, planning beyond drill, blast, load, haul doesn’t always come naturally.  Once a sequence of events has been executed, people are skilled at repeating that sequence and it can be too readily seen as sustainable.  Changing a mine’s culture / S.O.P. takes years of consistency to help all team members believe that our work is what we make of it, and that the only ”good time” to finish a project is the first time
