Hexagon has graciously allowed us to host this event at their office and is our venue/food/drink sponsor. Speaker: Tim Casten, Vice President Underground Planning, Freeport-McMoRan
About The Speaker: Tim Casten is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in underground mining. He holds an undergraduate degree from the Camborne School of Mines in the UK and a MSc. from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada-Reno, USA.
After starting his career on the Channel Tunnel in the UK, Tim held a variety of roles in underground mining including time at both the San Manuel block cave mine and the Resolution project in Arizona, USA. Tim joined Freeport-McMoRan in 1997 and worked on the underground operations at the Grasberg district in West Papua, Indonesia.
He is currently based out of the corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona, where he is the Vice President of Underground Planning and heads up a team primarily focused on supporting the Indonesian underground operations at the Grasberg minerals district

Cancellations and No Shows:
Please call or email by the registration deadline to cancel. If you do not cancel your reservation by the deadline, SME is still required to pay for your dinner and you will in turn be billed. Thank you.
