2008 Annual Scholarship Fundraiser & Social
The Tucson Section SME hosts an annual October Scholarship Fund Raiser and Social to raise scholarship money for University of Arizona students studying in the fields of mining and geological engineering. Based on the proceeds of this event SME was able to award 5 scholarships in the amount of $1500 each for the fall semester of 2007 and 5 additional equivalent scholarships for the spring semester 2008. The SME Tucson Section’s goal for this year is to meet, if not exceed, Event Attendance, Community Scholarship Contributions as well as Scholarships Awarded! YOU are a major part of our success, thank you!
