Join us for our next SME Tucson Dinner Meeting! Make sure to select your meal when making your reservation. Reservation deadline is Friday, October 11th.

Program:
Michael Maier will provide us with an update on Worlds Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and its applications to the mining industry.

  • GPS GNSS update,  where is GPS/GNSS these days. A lot has happened in the last few years and there are some good takeaways from knowing how to best use your systems in the newer constellations.
  • Mining Partnership with Trimble.  Working very close with Trimble on expanding their mining portfolio.  This includes a Mining Version of TBC and some new tools coming together.
  • Drone Update.  What drones are we working with and what are some of the newer technologies such as Lidar,  Thermal and Multispec cameras.  Also include update on the heavy lift drones and how mines are using them.
  • Emesent Lidar Scanner.  Extremely versitle scanner that you can put on a drone, mount to a vehicle or fly it on a drone.  It has SLAM technology so you can fly it indoors or underground.
  • Partnership with Teledyne.  This brings a whole new set of tools to our business.
